Happily Married with three beautiful Adult Children and while raising my children I always managed to work full time as a Teacher and then retrained in Event Management and Outdoor Recreation. My Background is in Management and I have helped set up two Private Pre Schools, plus the Education part of NKBA and then growing Elite International School of Beauty and Spa Therapies in Wellington from 25 students to over 100 students. I left there in 2016 and after travelling for a bit, I was approached by Jude Campbell to set up a Spa and together we planned and created Elderberry + Kate!
As I am not a Beauty Therapist I thoroughly enjoy experiencing some of the treatments. My Go To at the moment is the Face UP Facial and the Light Stim Treatment. It’s better than being in Fiji!
In my spare time I enjoy Les Mills, Walking, Yoga especially Yin, learning to play golf, Music, dancing and catching up with my very large Family on both sides also a must do is catching up with Friends. Love what you do!
I studied at Georgina Price College of Beauty Therapy in Galway, Ireland in 1998, then followed with 3 months at the Steiner Academy in London prior to working on the cruise ships around the world. I have done many post-graduate courses in the beauty/massage field to keep up to date with current trends and to update my knowledge base. I chose to become a Beauty Therapist as I enjoy nurturing and caring for people. My specialty would most definitely be Bespoke Facials, not only from a skincare perspective but also from a holistic approach. I aim to bring my clients on a sensory journey when they enter my treatment room where they can leave their worries behind and allow me to nurture them for 60 or 90 minutes while in my treatment.
When not at Elderberry+Kate I enjoy spending time with my husband and 3 young children. I enjoy long walks along the beach and am currently training for a half marathon.
I studied Beauty and spa therapy, my passion is for makeup and skin care and I wanted a job that was reflective of this as well as fun.
My specialty would be in makeup, facials and I absolutely love to do manicures - especially gel!
When I am not at work I enjoy music, theatre and dancing (ballet, contemporary) Come in and visit me here at Elderberry + Kate!
I studied at Elite international school of beauty and have since worked in the beauty therapy industry. My specialty would be facials and massage. I have always had a passion for these two types of treatments and I love seeing my clients float out of their pampering. When I am not with my clients at Elderberry + Kate, I am spending time with my husband and two kids.
I’ve been the beauty industry for over 15 years + trained here in Wellington where I gained International qualifications. I’ve worked in a variety of spas and gained extensive post graduate training in all aspects of beauty + spa treatments. One of my biggest achievements was running my own successful salon for 7 years. I’ve always gone by the mantra “Knowledge is power” so it was an easy transition to take on a teaching role at Elite International School of Beauty. It was here that I gained my teaching qualification in adult learning plus took on the role as the School’s International Co-examiner.
Client care is hugely important to me which is why I feel at home here at Elderberry + Kate where we go above + beyond to look after YOU, the client! My passion lies in skincare, so nothing thrills me more to see amazing results + happy clients!
Outside of the spa, I work as a product trainer where I am lucky enough to travel around our beautiful country. I’m also kept busy by my husband and 3 young children so I’m often playing taxi driver to everyone!
